Kusinable Goods: Yay or Nay?

Kusinable Goods started last year, mid-2019. Kusinable is the combination of “kusina,” the Filipino term for kitchen and “able,” which means having the power, skill, means, or opportunity to do something.

At Kusinable Goods, our mission is to be able to serve good food, and provide livelihood in our community while promoting locally sourced goods, and support our local farmers.

At present, their product line ranges from locally sourced coffee (Kapeng Barako from Batangas), bottled goods (Spanish Sardines from Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, Gourmet Tuyo made from dried tuyo of Masbate, homemade Chili Garlic Sauce, locally produced Choc Nut spread from Imus, carabao dairy products (sourced from Laguna, General Trias, and Nueva Ecija) to homemade baked sweets and cooked meals.

What To Try?

I recently tried their Chili Garlic Sauce, Choc Nut Spread, and Spanish Sardines.

1. Chili Garlic Sauce

Their Chili Garlic Sauce is 100% natural. It comes in a 120 gram container. According to the label, it has 6 months shelf life.

  • Pro: It’s perfect in making some dipping sauce! The spiciness is just right.
  • Con: I find it hard to open but I guess it’s also positive knowing that it won’t spill easily. I’m clumsy so the oil gets all over the place hehe!

2. Spanish Sardines

The Spanish Sardines is also 100% natural. It comes in a 225 gram container. They are imported from Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. In addition, they have four variants: Lemon, Garlic, Mild Spicy, and Tomato Sauce.

  • Pro: It tastes so good, it goes well with pasta or rice.
  • Con: It tastes really good, you’ll end up eating a lot! LOL!

3. Choc Nut Spread

The last but definitely not the least is the Choc Nut Spread. It is available in 165 grams and 330 grams. It has a 6 months shelf life but I don’t think it will last that long because you’ll finish it in no time.

Good bye Nutella, I’d rather have this Choc Nut Spread! This choco peanut spread brings back childhood memories. It’s not too sweet, just right. I totally recommend this as a gift for your friends. Balikbayans will definitely love this!

Besides making good food accessible to the people, I like how they support local farmers and provide livelihood to the community riders. The world needs more local businesses like them. Among the food I tried, I like Choc Nut the most! On my next order, I’ll try their gourmet tuyo and frozen goods.
