Travel with Karla in Asia is a list of the countries I’ve visited in the past five years. If COVID-19 does not exist, I’m now exploring Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand). But since there’s a travel ban, all my flights are cancelled. I’m just here at home with my family. To cope up with this travel blues, I’m going to make a list of the countries I’ve visited so far.
South Korea
I did not only traveled around South Korea, I also worked there. In 2015, my 22 year old self decided to move out and work in a place where nobody knows me. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made when I was young. I was able to live independently and travel around Korea for two years.

North Korea
In 2019, I got a chance to join a group tour to Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park. It’s located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on the border of South and North Korea. On the top of the bridge, people can actually see the North Korea. The Freedom Bridge connects the North and South. It’s the place where they exchanged the prisoners of war. There’s actually an option to go Pyongyang but I was scared that my time and money is not enough so I skipped it.
Japan
In 2019, I spent eight days in Japan. I explored Chubu (Aichi) and Kanto Region (Tokyo and Chiba). Although it’s expensive in Japan, I’d say that it’s worth it. The food, the people, and the culture will really amaze you. Watch my vlog: Things to do in Kira Yoshida.
On September 2020, I plan to go back there and explore the Kinki Region (Osaka and Kyoto).
Singapore
Earlier this year (February 2020), I was able to spend four days in Singapore. I explored the attractions in Sentosa, their beautiful zoos, and the amazing Gardens by the Bay. It’s so easy to tour around Singapore! I recommend it for first time travelers.
Philippines
I wanted to visit the 81 provinces of the Philippines. However, I think it’s not feasible for me since it will really take a lot of time. So far, I’ve only been to 15 provinces but I’m not in a rush. Hopefully before I turn 30? Kidding! That’s three years from now. The future is still uncertain but I’m sure that I’ll travel more when the enhanced community quarantine is over. Life is short!

So much history talaga ng North Korea noh? hay I’d love to visit Japan. Top of my list ko yan!
One day makakapunta din ako dyan. Wait lang siya.
Pero kailan kaya kami or ako makakapagtravel sa ibang bansa like Singapore tapos bibili ako hello kitty sa Japan hahaha
