Via Appia Tagaytay is Europe in the City of Tagaytay. It is inspired by The Appian Way which can be found in Rome. It is a retreat, training, development center, and hotel. This hotel is located at Sta. Rita Road, Barangay Kaybagal Central, Tagaytay City.
The Appian Way (Via Appia)
Via Appia was the first long road built specifically to transport troops outside the smaller region of greater Rome. This road is vital to Romans because it was used as the main route for military supplies since its construction in 312 BC. To this day the Via Appia contains the longest stretch of straight road in Europe, totaling 63 KM.
Things to Do at Via Appia Tagaytay
1. Sleep in a comfortable room.
I experienced the Superior Room. It has two beds and complete amenities. While normal hotels would only allow you to check in at 2 PM, Via Appia gives their guests a free early check-in as early as 12 NN.
As of now, they have 51 guest rooms. Guests can choose between one queen size bed or two double beds. Each room has Cable TV, Toilet and Bath, Dresser, and Wardrobe Closet. They also have toiletries like bath towels, toothbrush kits, shampoo, and soap.
2. Wake up with a Great View.
3. Eat Sumptuous Meals at Cafe La Via.
Cafe La Via is open daily from 7 AM to 9 PM. When I went there, they have a singer to entertain the guests. I’m really satisfied with the food and the ambiance of Cafe La Via.
I love that they have a variety of Filipino dishes to choose from. They serve beef, fish, chicken, pork, seafood, and vegetables. In addition, the other half of the menu contains Taste of Italy. Guests can order soup, entrees, pasta, and desserts.
Al Fresco Dining
Most guests prefer to have their breakfast outside. Their breakfast meals include Bangsilog, Tocilog, Hotsilog, and Cornsilog. They also have Bacon Mushroom Omelette, Champorado, and Pancake.
4. Play in the Game Room.
They have foosball (table football), table tennis, and board games. Snake & Ladders and Checkers board are available in the lobby.
5. Enjoy the Indoor Swimming Pool.
The Indoor Swimming Pool is open from 8 AM to 5 PM. Since it’s located in Tagaytay, expect the ice bucket challenge! The water is really cold but I still enjoyed it. I like that they have a pool area for kids (light blue tiles) and for adults (dark blue tiles).
6. Visit the Domine Quo Vadis Church.
There are times when they have a Holy Mass. They usually post the schedule on their Facebook Page. This church is actually perfect for an intimate wedding. It can accommodate up to 60 guests.
7. Have a massage.
Benessere by Via Appia offers different kinds of massage. They have Swedish, Shiatsu, and Combination Massage. In addition, guests can also experience Reflexology and Prenatal massages. Ventosa and Hot Stone with Massage are also available. Benessere provides a discount for kids and senior citizens.
8. Set up a Bonfire.
Bonfire nights are the best nights! This is great bonding for family and friends. Memories like this are priceless.
As a person who works online, I commend Via Appia Tagaytay for its stable internet connection. Whether I’m on the lower ground floor or on the 5th floor, I still have a good internet connection.
By the way, they have an ongoing promo:
