Home of Soleil

My family have been to Tagaytay several times but we haven’t tried going there just to have a staycation. We often go there to eat at Bag of Beans, to hang out at Starbucks, and to see some tourist spots like Taal Volcano, Skyranch, and People’s Park in the Sky. I think the last time we went there as a family is during my cousin’s debut at Charming Tagaytay Vacation Home.

Here’s the obligatory family picture! (We miss you Karlo)

Let me share you how it feels to be inside the Home of Soleil!

As we open the door, we are surprised to see all the startling balloons all over the place. This room is super perfect for a surprise party!

I love how the staff prepared the room just to welcome our family. I must say that I really appreciate the effort, from balloons at the ceiling, to the balloons on the bed.

Bedding

The room can accommodate four to six people. My little sister is not that big so I and my siblings managed to sleep in one bed. HAHA! On another note, the sheets and the pillow cases are very clean. We felt very comfortable in the bed. All of us had a great sleep.

Side Tables

I like their very artsy wall near the side table. In addition, they also have a full body mirror. It’s perfect for OOTD pictures! However, I’ve noticed some minor scratches on the wallpaper. It seems that some people put on a banner using tapes. Anyway, it didn’t affect the artsy and cozy ambiance of the room.

Veranda

Home of Soleil is located on the 2nd floor of SM Winds Tower I. In this view, the Ferris Wheel of Skyranch is very visible. It feels so good to feel the cool breeze of Tagaytay while having a hot chocolate.

Wanna see the Taal Volcano? Guests have access to the Sky Lounge!

Restroom

I’m impressed with the interior of the restroom. It’s minimalist yet so artsy! It’s clean and well-organized. They even have shampoo and liquid soap.

Kitchen

They have a fridge, microwave, water heater, and even utensils.  Look at the basket below. They have complimentary bottled water and coffee.

TV, WiFi, Phone

One of the main factors I consider in choosing a place is the internet connection. I work online so I need a strong internet connection. It didn’t disappoint me. They have a WiFi dedicated only for the room. I can update my Instagram right away!

Moreover, they also have a widescreen TV and telephone. The TV has cable channels while the telephone offers unlimited local calls.

Amenities

SM Winds has various amenities. They have a heated indoor and  three outdoor pools, billiards hall, darts, and table tennis. They also have a court for basketball, badminton, and tennis but you have to bring your own ball and racket. For children, they have a kiddie pool and play area. Of course, my favorite part is the Sky Lounge! It’s where this photo was taken.

Home of Soleil (10)

I and my family had a great time at Home of Soleil. Besides the very Instagrammable ambiance, the place is very accessible to tourist spots, and the staff are very accommodating. They are responsive in their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

I highly recommend this place not only to families like us but also to couples who are planning to celebrate their birthdays, anniversaries, and other occasions. The room is easy to decorate with balloons and banners. It’s perfect for surprises!
