Meet Donna Raymundo: A Multi-Talented Asset in Barangay Sampaloc 1

Four years ago, I made an inquiry via Facebook Messenger about the Social Amelioration Program (SAP). My husband lost his SAP form and Quarantine Pass, hence, cannot process his claims. I am very grateful that my husband was able to process his claims without any difficulties because my online query was immediately and politely entertained by one of the very responsive and accommodating staff of Barangay Sampaloc 1. She was indeed very helpful considering the situation at that time during the height of the pandemic. Surprisingly, after a few years, I did not expect that I would meet her in person, work with her, and have a blast!

Ms. Donnabelle “Donna” V. Raymundo, who is, at present, the Barangay Bookkeeper and at the same time the Barangay Information Officer (BIO), is the former Barangay Clerk who helped me with my husband’s SAP claims. We have been working together since I was appointed last July 2022, she is the BIO and Treasurer’s Office Bookkeeper. She holds two positions and does multi-tasking without any complaints, isn’t she amazing? Yes, she is! For the past couple of years working with her, I have witnessed her potential and hard work. I have learned so many things from her, things that the Treasurer should know.

Donna Raymundo possesses several admirable traits that contribute to her effectiveness in her role. Firstly, she demonstrates a keen willingness to learn and embrace new challenges. When tasked with leading our in-house basic computer software applications training, she exceeded expectations and bolstered her self-confidence through her exemplary performance.

Moreover, Donna exemplifies a profound sense of professionalism, which I continue to learn from. Professionalism, to her, means exhibiting unwavering patience, a crucial quality for any public servant. Her ability to maintain composure and dedication, even in demanding situations, sets a standard for us all.

Additionally, Donna is a proficient multitasker, seamlessly tackling various assignments with efficiency and diligence. While I may initiate projects or propose ideas, she undertakes the groundwork with precision and dedication. Her hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by the heartfelt appreciation she received during our recent general assembly.

Renell A. Dela Cruz has been a development worker (support staff) for seventeen years and loves to cook and bake.  She earned a degree in Secretarial Administration and passed the NC II (National Certificate) in Bread and Pastry Production.  During her free time, she bakes cookies, cakes, and pastries, mostly for her lovely daughter’s packed snacks, family occasions, and sometimes made to order.  Currently, she’s working as a Barangay Treasurer.
