Finding Joy in Everyday Life

Here’s my journey to finding joy in everyday life. Join me as I discover how everyday moments add sweetness to life.

Navigating the New Terrain

I still have so many things to learn in my new field of work. Even though I have already mentioned earlier that I was able to adjust and learn how things work finally, there are still unfamiliar matters coming in from time to time. Like new rules and instructions given, additional tasks, unfamiliar situations to deal with, additional requirements to comply with, and so on. But one thing I truly appreciate is, how my hubby gave way to support and understand the nature of my job. It notably helped me whenever he’s off from work, he takes care of some of the house chores like cooking meals.

Culinary Adventures with Hubby

He is interested in cooking viands that we have not tried yet. He is browsing the web for recipes, and guess what? I have new favorites now! I love and keep craving the viands he cooked, such as “Bangus a la Pobre”, “Baked Chicken”, “Chicken Steak”, and the most recent one — “Igado”. We both liked “Igado” and he plans to cook again very soon! He followed the recipe of Mr. Christopher Mayani and it is perfect for a first try!

Conquering Heights and Hikes

In addition to my lessened time for cooking meals and learning how to play tennis, going out with hubby is another good way of taking some more time off from my ordinary routine. We did a 3-hour hike in Sagada (Marlboro Hills and Blue Soil), and the spider web high ropes obstacle course in Rizal. Knowing that my hubby has a fear of heights and is not fond of hiking, still, I have persuaded him to join me and do these activities for the first time. Then he asked me, “Where, what, and when will be our next?” Now we’re playing lawn tennis!

Small Acts of Support

In our daily lives, it is very common for us to feel and express our adversities. We may not notice that people around us, our loved ones, family, friends, and colleagues are giving us support. Even as simple as cooking meals for your spouse, keeping you company, or unexpected compliments for a job well done, counts. They immeasurably lift one’s spirit high. You may need help at times, try to be one who helps too at most times, and always be grateful for everything.

Choosing the right partner is like finding the perfect puzzle piece to complete your life’s picture. A good partner brings stability, understanding, and a sense of calm. They become your confidante, your cheerleader, and your safe haven. When you choose a partner who shares your values, communicates openly, and respects your boundaries, you create a foundation for a peaceful life. Together, you weather life’s storms, celebrate victories, and find solace in each other’s presence. So, choose wisely—because a good partner can turn ordinary days into extraordinary moments of serenity.
