Jerum Gilles is one of the four candidates who will run for the provincial governor position in Cavite. Let’s get to know more about him.

Who is Jerum Gilles?

Jerum Montederamos Gilles is the founder and president of AMAGA MANGI PILIPINAS Inc (Anak ng Maralitang Magsasaka at Mangingisdang Pilipino ng Pilipinas). This organization aims to uplift the living conditions of the farmers and fisherfolk.

In the past, he also worked as a photographer, jeepney driver, and taxi driver. He was one of the political organizers of former Mayor Osboy Campana. In addition, he also worked as a staff in the office of the Vice Governor.

He only finished secondary school but this didn’t hinder him from being successful. He is the President of NDO, the National Driver’s Organization NCR. Currently, he manages Jerum Welding Training Services. They also make a bench vise.

1. Why are you running as a governor?

“Para sa dakilang pagbabago”

2. What are your platforms?

I want to uplift the living conditions of the people in Cavite. This includes factory workers, those who work in companies, malls, hotels, and gasoline stations. I will help the farmers, fishermen, and other people in Cavite.

3. What is the biggest problem in Cavite and what are you going to do to solve it?

Economic problem. I will create more livelihood, cooperatives, and agribusiness. I plan to educate the people by giving seminars on how to compose organic fertilizer, lemongrass oil essential, and hydrosol. Ang biogas will be 35 to 40 % lower than LPG from big-time suppliers.

4. What makes you stand out from other candidates?

Dapat ako para magiging Manila rate na mga manggagawa at mabigyan ng mga programa ang mga magsasaka tulad ng mga modernong equipment pang arikultura upang magiging masagana ang mamanayan ng cavite at cyempre kung manila rate na hindi na gaanong naghahabol ng masasaing ang mga manggagawa. Dahil kinakalimutan ang karapatan ng manggagawa makaavail ng Manila rate sa factory fabrica, malls, company.

Kung ako na gobernador 30 hectar to 50 hectar ang ilalaan kong muslim sementery, kasi kawawa ang mga Muslim mamamatayan malayo ang North Sagaray donate ni Robin Padilla at puno na ang Taguig Muslim Cemetery. Ilang beses na kaming naglibing dyan nakakatama ang hukay namin ng ulo, tuhod ng mga nakalibing puno na talaga.

At hinuhuli nila mga tricycle dadaan ng Aguinaldo highway, pahirap sa mga naghahanap buhay ng mga tricycle at mga maliliit na negusyante mamimili araw araw sa kadiwa mga naghanapbuhay.

5. How can Cavite recover from the pandemic? What are your plans for low-income households?

Pandemic is very simple. Even before pandemic issues, 100 Caviteños every year die indifference. That’s why we need to expand 4x our provincial hospital and free for all, and ivermectin only speaking of a pandemic.

6. What current programs in Cavite do you intend to continue, improve on or discontinue?

Ok, support agriculture to the farmers through modernization equipment, and more capital, seminar of fishermen how to culture Bangus and Lapu Lapu including tahong, talaba, etc.

7. Who are you going to vote for President? Why?

As of the moment, he is still undecided. According to him, some staff from BBM’s party promised to give initial funding last November. However, they haven’t received anything until now.
