Things to do at Church of God Dasmarinas

I’m a Christian but I don’t confine myself in one religion. I believe that what’s important is my personal relationship with God. Although my family attends worship services at the United Methodist Church, I also try to explore different churches once in a while. One of the churches that made me wow is the Church of God (COG) Dasmarinas. You’ll be amazed to see that there are so much things to do at Church of God Dasmarinas.

1. Attend the Sunday Worship Service

Who would have thought that a church with three people can multiply into thousands of people? Church of God now provides eight worship services every Sunday. Here are the schedule: 5:30 am, 7:30 am, 9:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7:30 pm. In addition, they also have midweek service every Wednesday (7 pm). They have dawn watch service from Monday to Friday (5 am).

I and my big family!

2. Exercise at the Persion Gym

You heard it right. Church of God has a gym! It’s called “Persion: Perspire with a Mission”. They have state of the art equipment. They also have gym instructors. These people are also member of the church. They can make a fitness program for you at an affordable price.

3. Relax at the Sauna

If you got surprised at the gym, I bet you also got excited when you heard about sauna. Going to sauna is one of my favorite things to do in Korea. At COG, you can enjoy unlimited sauna for just 1,600 pesos a month.

4. Join the Dance Classes

COG also have a dance studio where their dance ministry have rehearsals. If they don’t have a practice, the dance studio is open for dance classes.

5. Play at the Game Room

While the parents are busy at the gym, kids and kids at heart can play at the game room. They have billiards, table tennis, and soccer table arcade. Did I mention that they also have Xbox?

6. Eat some snacks at iCafe

I tried all their pastries and drinks to figure out which is the best. For drinks, I love the Coffee Jelly, Mango Tango, and Dark Chocolate. For cakes, I would say that the OREO CHEESECAKE is the best. I also like the Blueberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse and Tiramisu. Check out their full menu here.

“In every cup you drink, you build a church.” The proceeds of iCafe was able to built up some churches in provinces of the Philippines. It’s not just a typical coffee shop. It’s where church members hang out and even have bible studies after the worship service.

This list is still incomplete. There are more things to do inside the church. They have classrooms, conference room, photography studio and many more amenities. I’m going to update this real soon.

  1. This is a prosperity gospel church where its pastors abuse its poor church goers and twist the “seed of faith” preaching to fit their need to ask people for money so that they get material blessings in return. How many times I see pastors there “challenge” people to give and give example of their own goers getting a good money (travel agent preaching during pandemic) and even one pastor flexing his house and lot during a service. Its disgusting that this is the kind of gospel this church starts to preach.

    Mahiya nman sana sila.

  2. That’s quite a crazy church there. I have seen some mega churches but this looks like one of the biggest I have ever seen. Must have been quite the unique experience.

  3. I was confused with the title, “Things to do at the Church of God Dasmarinas.” I actually had to do a double take because I thought, of course, at church, we pray and worship God. But this is a totally different thing. Not that I disagree with the activities, but isn’t it supposed to be that a church is a holy place of worship? Anyway, thanks for sharing your photos. This is a totally different church from the one I grew up with. BTW, I was born and raised a Catholic.

    1. I think this church is adapting to the modern times. While it is true that we pray and worship God in the church, there are also other things we can do to glorify Him. We can do exercise, drink coffee, and at the same time, raise funds to build more churches. I think it’s their way of evangelism.

  4. It is good that you are a Christian, but a question for you; how many different “religions” did Jesus have and practice? Eph 4:5

    Continued Blessings,

Religious worship ought to be ALL about Jesus and not a bit about what WE like. Amen

    Continued Blessings,
    Patrick

    1. Thanks for your comment. I believe that the main goal of the give is to give glory, honor, and praise to God. I also think that those amenities were made because they want the members to stay in the church building and have fellowship too. It’s safer for the youth to hang out inside the church than to go to other places.
