Welcome to Travel with Karla February 2024 Recap! This is where we explore the events, developments, and noteworthy occurrences that shaped the month.

Isabel & Eugene’s Wedding

I’ve attended a couple of weddings in the past years but it hits differently when it’s one of your close friends. I’m so grateful to be a part of my colleague’s wedding. This inspires me to work on my wedding plans.

Chinese New Year Celebration at SM City Molino

I was able to see the beautiful exhibit at SM City Molino. I also tried some Valentine’s Day activities there! It feels good to explore other places once in a while.

Camp Netanya

My travel date this month is with my mom. She was excited when I told her I was bringing her to a beach. Camp Netanya is the little Santorini of Batangas. They have a Dip and Dine Day Tour Pass, including a plated lunch, unlimited kapeng barako, pool access, and one-hour kayak and snorkeling. Pool towels are also provided. A Day Tour costs only 2,250 pesos per person.

Pre-Valentine’s Date at Old Manila

My boyfriend never fails to make me feel special. We had a wonderful night at Old Manila in The Peninsula Manila. The ambiance, the food, and the service made the entire night perfect.

Valentine’s Date at Domus Restaurant

We spent our 2nd Valentine’s Day at our favorite restaurant in Amadeo, Domus Restaurant. They serve a variety of food that will satisfy your cravings. It’s the most romantic place in town. We were serenaded by a saxophonist during the dinner.

Karlo’s Graduation Party at Okada

My family had an early celebration at Texas Roadhouse in Okada. My brother finally finished his degree in Marine Transportation. This is a big milestone in our family.

Karlo’s Graduation Dinner at Mesa

Since MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy only allowed two guests per graduate, we decided to just have a family dinner at Mesa. It’s our first time there and to be honest, we were not satisfied with the quality of the food they served.

Post-Valentine’s Date at Blackbird at the Neilsen Tower

To celebrate our 19th month together, my boyfriend took me to a nice fine dining-restaurant in Makati. Just like Old Manila, we were also satisfied with the gourmet meals we tried. This will not be the last time we are going here.

Dinner Date at Brooklyn’s New York Pizza

As you can see, whenever my boyfriend and I meet after office hours, we make sure to try something new. This time, we used the Eatigo app and it led us to Brooklyn’s New York Pizza in Pasig.

Children’s Musicale

I don’t usually share my ministry on my website but I’ve been teaching Sunday School kids for many years now. This time, we pulled off a concert for our church anniversary. I’m so proud of my talented students!

Palapala United Methodist Church: Shine at 39

I’ve been a member of Palapala United Methodist Church since birth. I was baptized there. This year, I finally made it to be a part of the anniversary committee. The Lord blessed me with knowledge to think about our anniversary theme and suggest activities for our month-long church anniversary celebration.

Those are just the highlights of the events that happened this month. I’m about to turn 31 in two months. People might think I’m already too old to do so many things. I prefer to embrace curiosity, this keeps me forever young. I’ll forever think about visiting new places, trying new activities, and enjoying different meals. Curiosity turns the ordinary life into extraordinary. Stay curious!
