The Flying Carnival 2020 happened last March 6 – 8, 2020 at San Lazaro Leisure Park. I’m one of the people who witnessed it first hand. I went there during the second day of the event. Watch my Vlog to see the highlights of my trip:
So what really happened during Flying Carnival 2020?
Some people got disappointed during the event. I’ve seen some posts about expectations vs. reality. First, people are complaining because they only saw few hot air balloons. Second, it was quite crowded. There are long lines in the restrooms. Lastly, it’s too hot and dusty in the fly market.
In my opinion, those people who mentioned that they only saw few hot air balloons came in late. They probably didn’t read the schedule. People need to be there at around 5 am to witness the inflating of the hot air balloons. Moreover, the crowd is inevitable because it’s the first Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Cavite. People are really curious about it. As for the weather, we can’t really control it. LOL.
On the other hand, there are also good things about attending the Flying Carnival 2020. I’ve experience a lot of first times. Riding a hot air balloon, seeing the helicopter closely, watching some people paragliding are new to me. It’s actually included in my bucket list so I think that waking up early is worth it.
In addition, I think they have enough food kiosks in the fly market. There are so many food items to choose from. The prices are affordable. As for the aviation seminars, I wasn’t able to take a peek into the seminar rooms because the guards are quite strict. Only the people with business class tickets or VIP tickets are allowed to access the second floor.
Here are some of my pictures during the event:
I’d like to thank Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta for giving me a Media Pass. I really had a great time documenting the first ever Flying Carnival in Cavite.

Part of our family bucketlist is going to this event, i’m pretty sure my 2 boys will love seeing a real life and life size balloon like those. Thanks for sharing, i’ve shown my kids your vids and they’ve liked it.
Wow!!!! I saw pics od this event all over social media and i would have loved to come. Hopefully one day I’ll get invited to events like these too and ride hot air balloons. What a ride. Hopefully next year. Hehe

Sana maexperience ko din to. Pero medyo natatakot din ako kase ang taas niyan haha. Congratulations for that very nice experience!
Sorry for those who came late and got disappointed, hahaha. It does pay to read very well… Buti you were able to go near and witness how these were inflated.
Wow! This is really something worth puntahan! Di nako nakapagreserve ng tickets though, ang saya pala! 🙂
