Dakki Pillows Review: Yay or Nay?

Another very comfortable add-ons to Mima’s Homey are Dakki pillows.  They are very soft, washable, have many designs to choose from, excellent quality, and long-lasting.  I own three body pillows, eight bed pillows, and a dozen of throw pillows (six pieces Disney and six pieces decora).  At present, I have already disposed two bed and two body pillows due to wear and tear.  While the remaining bed pillows that we are using are a bit shabby already.  And the throw pillows are mostly still in good shape.

I started using Dakki pillows in 2003, and the most recent purchase I’ve made was two years ago.  It was an additional one body and two bed pillows for my daughter, she will use them in her dormitory.  The perfect and convenient huge pillows to pack and bring because they are compact and vacuum sealed.  To clean and maintain our pillows, I regularly bring them to the laundry shop.  Some shop’s laundry cost for pillows are per kilogram, while others are per piece.  Our Dakki pillows, though quite old already, looks and feels brand new after every laundry. 

My daughter grew up with a dakki body pillow, she’s now twenty years old and still loves body pillow.  When she outgrown her baby crib, we have shared the same bed.  But I have noted my former office mate’s (who is well-versed with child and maternal health care) advice not to cuddle my child if we are sleeping in the same bed.  For this will develop a strong bond and attachment between mother/father and the child.  Parents will have difficulties leaving home for work once too much attachment between their child developed. 

For a working mom like me, there are times that I need to be away from home during official travel for few days or a week.  Thus, I have followed the advice and I didn’t had such difficulties.  From my observation, my sister plays hide and seek with her youngest son before she leaves for work.  Sometimes it works, but mostly not; they sleep in the same bed and cuddle each other every night.  The advice, there should be a pillow between the child and mother/father if they are sleeping together in the same bed.
