DoTerra enters the Philippines

doTERRA is now in the Philippines! Last month, I received an invitation to an exclusive event. I’m really curious about essential oils so I went to Azumi Boutique Hotel and attended their event.

What’s doTERRA?

doTERRA is a Latin derivative which means “Gift of the Earth.” It’s a multi-level marketing company based in Pleasant Grove, Utah that sells essential oils and other related products. Their vision is to have essential oils in every home provided through millions of wellness advocates.

Their mission is to change the world one drop, one person, one community at a time. They develop the world’s highest-quality therapeutic-grade essential oil products. Moreover, they distribute their products through wellness advocates. In addition, they provide educational opportunities, and bring together health care professionals of traditional and alternative medicine.

I’m not really into multi-level marketing, but I’m quite interested with doTERRA essential oils and how they help the farmers from different communities.

5 Things I learned about Essential Oils

1. Essential Oils are from plants.

This may sound dumb but I really don’t have any idea where it came from. Apparently, essential oils are natural extracts from the seeds, stems, roots, flowers, barks, and other parts of the plant.

2. There are 3 ways to use essential oils.

There are three ways to use essential oils: aromatically, topically, and internally. Dropping some essential oils to a diffuser can lighten your mood, clean the air, and open airways. Essential oils can also be applied directly on skin. The body absorbs it quickly. Lastly, these oils can also be dropped under the tongue or mixed in a glass of water.

3. Essential Oils are used for beauty and personal care.

The doTERRA fractionated coconut oil has many uses: hair conditioner, hair shine, makeup remover, foot care, skin softener, nail care, and for aromatherapy massage.

4. There are various Essential Oil Blends.

There’s an anti-aging blend, detoxification blend, digestive blend, skin clearing blend and many more. I love how these blends work together to make a person feel better.

5. doTERRA has products with Essential Oils.

I received a loot bag with shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and a deep blue rub. I already tried the peppermint oil in the small bottle. It smells sooo good!

They have an office in 6750 Ayala Avenue, Level 17, Ayala Avenue Office Tower, Makati City.

One of the highlights of the event is the food. HAHAHA! Their Suman sa Latik and Pinoy Nachos really tastes good. I can’t help myself but to include it in this blog. I’ll definitely go back to Azumi Boutique hotel and make a detailed food review of Romulo Cafe!

  1. Although doTerra is good for some, it’s almost like a cult club for others. So many Wellness Advocates do not have the necessary experience as an aromatherapist to understand anything about essential oils. A weekend course won’t do. But if you’re in it to make money, then go for it. doTerra is about making money. The products are overpriced so that it can afford to pay everyone up your upline..think about it!

  2. I love doTerra. I have moved here in Canada from Ireland and my workmate had shared this wonderful product. We initially talk the difference of life now and then. I told him about how we were raised using medicinal leaves, like if we have fever my mother used to put oregano on top of the rice pot and she squished the juice out of it; having bumps after playing she used this kusay; and she used to broil calamansi if we have sore throat and many more. But this is not present in our modern world but we can see them in bottle of medicine with some additional ingredients that we don’t know.
Then he said, I will bring some oil for you and they are the purest oil basically prepared and brought to us in the city. This started my journey with DoTerra. I loved the product.

  3. I’m familiar with their products here in the US. They will do well in your country.

  4. Doterra is a must try product. I always wanted to try this and I have heard a lot about this before and been looking for this one.

  5. Essential oils are great to use for so many different things. I love the mission statement of doTerra “To change the world one drop, one person, one community at a time.” That is a great philosophy

  6. I never heard of doTERRA before so I learned a lot from the post. We can’t have this in Japan as the rules are strict about these products.

  7. I always prefer products with natural ingredients. This is a best step by the company for providing essential oils through natural extract.

  8. That’s nice! I have been using essential oils myself, mostly to relax and rejuvenate. My favorite is lavender and coconut essential oils!

  9. DoTerra must have such a collection! I personally use essential oils for my beauty and skincare needs and the results are great. I also love the nice oils for cleaning the air and making it great in the house.

  10. I have a former officemate who mixes and sells essential oils. I once bought one of her immunity boosters and it works great for me especially if I have rhinitis.
