I’ve been asked countless times if I earn money from blogging. My answers is YES. There are many ways to make money in blogging. In this post I’m going to discuss them one by one.
1. Advertisements
One of my secondary sources of income is Google AdSense. AdSense works by matching text and display ads to your site based on your content and visitors. The ads are created and paid for by advertisers who want to promote their products. For every click on the Ads, you’ll earn money. Besides Cost Per Click (CPC), you’ll also earn through Cost Per Mille (CPM). CPM is the cost an advertiser pays for one thousand views or clicks of an advertisement.
2. Sponsored Posts or Reviews
A sponsored post is a subtle way of advertising products or services. In this kind of post, there are links that directs to the website of the sponsor. Usually the blogger receives compensation in the form of money, products, or services.
When I was a newbie in blogging, I used to accept “ex-deals.” It’s like free food in exchange of reviews. As I grow older, I realized my worth and learned how to “Say NO to Free Blogs.”
Do I still create blogs for free? Yes. If I really love/hate the service or product, if it’s for a good cause, or if it is a small or medium-sized enterprise.
3. Digital Products
Some bloggers earn money by selling eBooks, online courses, pictures and videos, Lightroom presets, apps, plugins, and even website themes. Others offer seminars and workshops for newbies.

4. Affiliate Marketing
There are brands who gives out commissions for each sale they make coming from your website. They use an affiliate code to track the transactions.
5. Marketing Platforms
Since most bloggers have a lots of followers on their social media accounts, every post they make has high value. With the use of some marketing platforms, they can earn by posting photos and videos on Facebook and Instagram.
The blogging world gave me lots of opportunities. I was able to visit different places, eat delicious meals, stay in luxurious hotels, meet high profile people, and experience many activities I haven’t tried before.

Writing this makes me rethink of the reason why I blog. Am I blogging to earn money? No. The primary reason why I blog is to make a permanent record of my experience, and share useful information to my readers. Sponsored or not, I’m going to continue writing about the things I’m passionate about.

I used to be very serious sa pag-monetize ng blog ko. Ung old blog ko pa, not the one I currently use. It’s a good way to earn. Pero now, I’m trying to slowly go back to monetiizng my blog. But first, quality content muna. haha. It comes with time and effort talaga.
I’m currently drafting a blog post on the same topic but I’m not familiar with marketing platforms and how we earn from them. Pero I do affiliate marketing narin now. Also, I still go with ex-deals depending sa content na gagawin ko kung super bet ko. Minsan kase I have to really approach the brand and formally talk to them 🙂

I actually wanted to earn from blogging. I started from Google adsense, however I can’t manage it haha so I deactivated it for a while, I just do not want advertisements squeezing in my article hahahah
Why couldn’t you manage it? I havent tried it yet but would love to hear some cons from your experiences!

Yes, there are a lot of ways to earn in blogging but until now, I haven’t tried to monetize it intentionally. Some come and I accept it as it is but until now, no intention of using it to sustain my needs. Maybe someday, if I get the time and heart for it.

These 5 ways you listed are tried and tested ways to earn money from your blog. The key is consistency and constant monitoring. Of course, fresh, informative content is a big factor to make readers purchase through your blog.
If you have loyal readerships you can also add merchandise to your website. Sponsored posts are still big.

I do not have much luck with ads placement, so my main income stream from my blog is sponsored posts. I love writing, so I am good with that. Maybe someday, I will learn the ropes and get some money to trickle in through ads placement.
I made my current blogsite without spending any amount; and I want it to be read by many for free. I’m not thinking of earning from it yet. But I’ve been inspired by bloggers like you. I might start one that earns soon. This is a great reference.
