ChizMozza: Yay or Nay?

I enjoy trying out new snacks once in a while. Recently, I’ve noticed an interesting food kiosk named ChizMozza at SM Dasmarinas Foodcourt. It sounds funny because chismosa is a Spanish word for a person who loves to gossip!

They only have four items in the menu: Mozzarella Bites, Mozzarella Sticks, Monster Sticks, Popsicle Cheese, and Ham & Mozza Pops. They also have premium dips if you’re not a fan of mayonnaise and ketchup.

The staff mentioned that the Mozzarella Bites is the best seller. I ordered the 8 pcs. Mozzarella Bites (59 pesos). It comes with a free mayo and tomato dip.

Have you tried Chizmozza?

I did some research about the person behind Chizmozza. Apparently, she’s a millennial like me. Her name is Marydae Hanna Ramos. According to an article, she spent around PhP200,000 ($3812) to put up her first branch in May 2016. She used social media to sell her products. She made sure that they are Instagrammable.

As of now, they already have 17 branches: Fishermall, SM North Food Court, SM North Sky Garden, SM San Lazaro, SM Megamall, Fairview Terraces, Sta. Lucia Grand East, SM Fairview, Robinsons Manila, District Imus, SM Baliwag, SM Rosario, SM Marilao, SM Dasmarinas, Circut Makati, and Star City. They will soon open a branch in SM South Mall and SM Pampanga.

Food Card Franchise Package costs PhP 99,000 (+VAT) while Kiosk Franchise Package costs PhP349,000 (+VAT). If you’re interested to franchise, you may send a letter of intent to [email protected]. You may also call 09668165749 and 09176511536.

ChizMozza: Yay or Nay?

There are four reasons why I like the Mozarella Bites. First, it serves real Mozzarella Cheese. It’s not just some cheap powdered cheese. Second, it’s fresh! I can see how they cook it. They will only cook it after you order.

Third, it’s gooey not oily. Although it’s deep fried, I did not feel greasy will eating it. Lastly, it doesn’t break the bank. I don’t mind spending PhP59 ($1) for a delicious snack.

It’s a YAY for me!

I live near SM Dasmarinas so you’ll often see me there making some food reviews. If you enjoyed this article, you may also read about Samgyup, Buku-buku Kafe, Arctic Artisan Bingsu Cafe, Dakasi, and Cabalen.

  1. Though am not a fan of cheese, I would like to commend their branding. They should invite all chismosa aunties to help them promote this, and get discount! lol
