It has been my routine to use face masks once or twice a week. I don’t think that using face masks for the whole week suits my skin. Since my siblings are all complete, I decided to make a review about Face Republic’s Sleeping Beauty Face Mask.
Face Republic
According to their Facebook Page, Facebook Republic is a Korean brand born in the Philippines. Although their products are made in Korea, and run by Korean nationals, the brand is made with the needs and sensibilities of Filipinos in mind.
MIJIN COSMETICS manufacture Face Republic. It’s located at #53-45 1 Gongfan-ro 6-gil, Gumi-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea.
In addition, Morening Sun Packaging Incorporation situated at 107, Marcos Alvarez Avenue, Las Pinas, 1740, Metro Manila is in charged of the distribution.
Face Republic: Sleeping Beauty Face Mask
Face Republic Sleeping Beauty Mask is sold in one set. They call it Seven Nights of Beauty Rest. It includes Soothing Aloe Extract, Nourishing Snail Essence, Whitening Rice Formula, Hydrating Cucumber Extract, Healing Tea Tree Oil, Rejuvenating Honey Nutrient, and Brightening Lemon Extract.
Seven Nights of Beauty Rest
To begin with, I’m not sure if they sell it individually but let me describe each variant one by one.
Nourishing Snail Essence moisturizes the skin with nourishment of Snail Secretion Filtrate. It has two uses: nourishing and hydrating.
Rejuvenating Honey Nutrient rejuvenates and makes the skin glow with honey. It can be used for anti-aging and healing.
Healing Tea Tree Oil heals the skin with antibacterial properties of Tea Tree Oil. It is used for healing and soothing the skin.
Soothing Aloe Extract relaxes the skin with immediate hydration and moisturizing from Aloe Extract. It soothes and hydrates the skin.
Hydrating Cucumber Extract not only hydrates but also brightens the skin with refreshing Cucumber extract.
Whitening Rice Formula brightens and smoothen dull skin with nourishing rice extract. It’s perfect for whitening and soothing the skin.
Brightening Lemon Extract brightens the skin with Vitamin C from Lemon extract. Besides the brightening function, it also works for anti-aging.
Directions for Use
- Wash face with cleanser and apply toner.
- Place the mask carefully on face, adjusting around the eyes.
- After 15-20 minutes, remove the mask and lightly apply the remaining essence with clean hands.
Precautions
Avoid using on blemished, irritated or sunburned skin. Moreover, stop using if skin becomes red, swollen, or itchy during use. If any of these occur, discontinue use and immediately consult a doctor. In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. Keep away from children.
I’ve tried so many face masks here in the Philippines and in Korea. Some are effective, others are not. When I was in Korea, there are masks that can hydrate the face for two to three days. Probably they’re appropriate to use during winter since cold makes the skin super dry. Unlike other hydrating face masks I tried, I would say that the effect of Face Republic’s Sleeping Beauty Mask lasts for a day. It’s indeed good for Philippine’s climate. Finally, there’s a Korean product made for Filipinos!
In addition, I and my siblings did not have any negative reactions after using the face masks. By the way, each face mask has a unique scent.

I love how face masks can be so nourishing. I think I should get a sheet mask too because I’m currentlyusing a wahs off mask. The Rejuvenating Honey Nutrient mask has to be my favorite.

i used to use face masks earlier – home made ones but have not done so due to sheer forgetfulness more recently.. but they did make me feel refreshed and my skin so much better after,,,
