Josephine Restaurant Tagaytay

Although Josephine Restaurant Tagaytay is one of the most famous buffet restaurants in Tagaytay, it’s my first time to eat there. I and my family went there because it’s just walking distance from our accommodation, the Home of Soleil.

Breakfast while enjoying the view of Taal Lake

On a normal day, breakfast buffet costs P505 while lunch buffet costs P595. We went there on  a weekend so we paid more. Weekend breakfast buffets cost P605 + 10% service charge. Although it’s pricier, they have P100 discount if you don’t have any leftover.

Josephine Restaurant Tagaytay

Josephine Restaurant opened the Tagaytay Branch in the year 1995. Since then, it received several awards. I’ve seen some awards hanging on the wall near the restroom. However, I’ve noticed that the latest award they received was last 2010. I’m not sure if other awards are not displayed or it is losing it’s popularity. Anyway, it’s a great family restaurant for me. Josephine Restaurant has a classy ambiance. I can say that it’s for middle and upper class people.

The restroom is quite unique because they use room doors.

They have some pasalubong corner in the receptionist area.

I think the main reason why people go here is to see the scenic view of Taal Lake. Outside the restaurant, customers can enjoy this breathtaking landscape.

Most of the food taste good. Especially, the longanisa, omelette, and kss. ! In addition, the service is great. All the staff are courteous and very accommodating. I like that all of them are neat looking.

If you’re not a fan of buffets, you may also try their ala carte meals. They have pulutan, ensalada, sarsa, sabaw, pasta, pancit, sinigang, gulay, seafood (fish, squid, crab, shrimps, shellfish, prawns, and even lobsters!), chicken, beef, pork, and desserts. They also have various kinds of coffee, tea, and other drinks. The price ranges from 100 to 600 pesos.
