Girl Bonding at Nailtensity Nail Salon and Day Spa

Nailtensity Nail Salon: Yay or Nay?

Going to spa became my habit when I was in Korea. It reduces my stress, removes my body toxins, and improves my skin complexion. Now that I’m back in Philippines, I wanted to share that very relaxing habit to my mom and sister.

Since I came here to Philippines, I’ve been searching for a good spa that will cater all my needs, and of course standards. As a native of Dasmarinas, I only have two places to choose from: SM Dasmarinas and Robinsons Place Dasmarinas. I tried searching around SM Dasmarinas first but I felt unsatisfied because most of the spa offers limited treatments. For example, one spa offers eyelash extensions only. The other spa offers manicure, pedicure, and foot spa only. It’s very inconvenient to transfer from one spa to another. I’ve decided to look for more spa at Robinsons.

Nailtensity Nail Salon and Day Spa got my attention. It’s painted with pink and blue, and the interior is very Instagrammable! Besides the exquisite ambiance, it offers a wide range of services. It’s perfect!

Considering it was National Heroes day last August 28, I made an appointment for me, my mom and my sister at Nailtensity Nail Salon and Day Spa.

Morning Schedule

#1 Nailtensity Signature Spoiled Hands

While our feet are soaked in warm water and soap, the therapists are giving us a very therapeutic massage. Unlike the usual manicure, Nailensity provides extra services such as back and hand massage. Their staff are all licensed massage therapists, and they surely know what they are doing.

Before I forget, I want to emphasize that their nail polish are organic. It is entirely safe and non-toxic. It’s not harmful for the health. My sister wanted to have her finger nails painted but my mother disapproves because it’s not allowed in school. In the end, we allowed Karlee to have her toe nails painted using natural or colorless nail polish.

#2 Nailtensity Signature Spoiled Feet

My mother is a teacher. She spends most of the day standing. My sister plays soccer. Her feet is also stressed most of the time. Nailtensity Signature Spoiled Feet is definitely suitable for them.

My sister enjoyed the scent of the scrubs! At first I thought that she was just hungry when she said, she smells like chocolate. Little did I know, all the scrubs and lotions are flavored. Though she’s very ticklish and laughing the whole time, she said that it’s the best part of the treatment.

Afternoon Schedule

My mom and sister went home in the afternoon but I stayed to try more treatments.

This was my bed for the whole afternoon.

#3 Honey Lemon Body Scrub

Oh my!  I missed having body scrub! I got used to having body scrub in Korean Saunas because I love exfoliation. It removes the dead skin making it brighter and smoother. Unlike the usual scrub, Nailensity uses Honey Lemon Sugar Scrub. Very organic! The owner told me that it expires after 6 months so they keep on restocking every now and then.

Honey consists of 18 amino acids with antiseptic and antibiotic properties in it. It is also rich in vitamins and mineral. It can heal wounds and also moisturize your skin very well. Lastly, it helps greatly in giving you the natural glowing skin.

#4 Swedish Massage

I really don’t have any idea about the kinds of body massage. I had to interview the massage therapist about Swedish Massage while having the massage. She explained that this massage is more on “hagod”.

It was done by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. It really relaxed my entire body. In some studies, Swedish Massage increases the number of lymphocytes and white blood cells that are part of the immune system, and a boost in the immune cells that may help fight colds and the flu.

#5 Eyelash Extension

It’s my second time to have eyelash extension treatment. At first, I always thought that having eyelash extension is painful. I was wrong. I guess, I went to the wrong spa last time. Thank God, I discovered Nailtensity Nail Salon!

I was asked to choose between 8, 10, and 12 mm. I chose 10 mm because it’s the average. Surprisingly, I did not have a hard time with the eyelash extension treatment. The glue they used did  not irritate my eyes. I think it’s because their attendants are skillful and light-handed. Besides the eyelash extension, Nailtensity also offers eyelash perming for as low as 300 pesos.

#6 Eyebrow Threading

I’m an eyebrow threading virgin. I usually shave my brows because I dread tweezing. I did not realize that threading is painful! Eyebrow threading feels like tweezing multiple hair at once. I was relaxed the whole day but this threading gave me anxiety. On a lighter note, their attendant is helpful, she even gave me some tissue just in case I cry. HAHA!

Thank God for the Aloe Vera Gel they are using. It soothed and cooled my very rosy eyebrows. I can tell that eyebrow threading is recommended for people with high pain tolerance. I’m very pleased with the result of my eyebrows. I don’t have to shave every now and then because it will take a weeks before the eyebrows grow. By the way, they also have eyebrow waxing!

We arrived at the spa at around 10:30 am and I left at 4:30 pm. I spent six awesome hours at Nailtensity Nail Salon and Day Spa. It was a day well spent, indeed. I got a chance to spend time with my mom and sister, and I was able to treat my tired body.

I would like to express my appreciation to Sequitin Family for giving us the chance to experience these treatments from Nailtensity Nail Salon and Day Spa. This is a sponsored blog post, but all opinions are my own.

I want to acknowledge the skillful and hardworking staff:

  • Thank you Regine for giving me manicure, pedicure, and the super relaxing Swedish Massage.
  • Thank you Emz for taking care of my ticklish sister. She really enjoyed the foot scrub! Thanks for doing my body scrub and eyebrow threading.
  • Mheann for carefully attaching these gorgeous eyelash extensions
  • Beth for giving my mom manicure, pedicure, and massage.
  • Cathrina for the warm welcome, and for providing useful information about the spa.

They gave us Calamansi Juice because we don’t drink coffee and tea.

I admire the business owners in their way of choosing staff. They look at the attitude first before the skills. Attitude is hard to change but skills can be learned. Their staff are not only skillful but they also have pleasing personality. I think it’s one of the reasons why their spa is successful.

Lastly, I want to greet Nailtensity Nail Salon and Day Spa a Happy 3rd Anniversary on September 1! I bet customers will have some treats during the anniversary week! Oh wait, did I mention that they give free manicure on customers’ 6th visit? That’s right! You may also avail a free manicure on your birthday! Amazing, isn’t it?

I’m going to have some gift certificate giveaways and discount coupons soon on Travel with Karla’s Facebook Page. You may use them in their Dasmarinas and Imus branch.

  1. this is so sweet of you, Karla! it is a day well-spent indeed with your mom and little sister. i miss the Philippines all the more. a whole day of pampering wouldn’t break the bank. and you’ve got everything covered for you! from the nails to your eyelashes!

  2. What an enjoyable sponsored visit!!! I need to do that, haha…. it’s been a while since i’ve visited a spa. You’re right about Swedish massages. They are essentially relaxation massages, unlike deep tissue massages or Thai massages that can been painful. Hot stone massages during cold weather can also be very enjoyable. Your lashes look great! Nice job!

  3. WOW, Karla, you and I would get along perfectly because based on this post you take your self-pampering very seriously! You spent the entire day at the spa – what a treat!! I’m quite jealous, actually haha. It’s so nice of you to have taken your mom and sister. What did they think?

  4. Interesting, they even have a kids menu. What kinds of kids are visiting there and who has the time/money to go to a spa haha They must cater to some ritzy kidos, even though they are not allowed to wear nail polish at school. This reminds me seeing a doggy treadmill the other day and just thinking: “Really? Why?”

  5. wow nailtensity is a really cute place. I think its a good idea to pamper yourself sometimes. I just can’t get myself to pay for it when i can do it myself at home. But im sure paying maybe once a month is nice to have someone else do it. Cute blog! and everyone looks so happy!

  6. Haha, lucky you spending an entire day at the spa (without having to pay). 😉 Would you believe I find threading to be very relaxing. It doesn’t hurt me at all, and I kind of look forward to the pull. I’m weird, I guess. I also love the Korean body scrubs…they’re the best (even better than a very expensive scrub in a spa!)

  7. Awesome girl bonding! Visited one of the nail salons at SM City Dasmarinas last year, manicure and pedicure services are indeed well-satisfying. Unfortunately, my toe was wounded and infected ???? Didn’t went back to any nail spa/salon since then, I hope it won’t happen again should I try Nailtensity one of these days.

  8. The lashes look great! I had mine done, I think, last year. They were ok but I wasn’t too happy. Yours look full, natural and dainty 🙂 The salon did a good job.
