Common Ground

Common ground is a store made up of shipping containers. There are 11 restaurants inside it. It also contains 4 food trucks located in the middle.

I think most people go there to have photo shoots. Well, some go there for shopping. It’s divided into two parts: the market hall, and the street market. Inside those containers are small shops. Click here to see how it’s done.

The place is definitely for hipsters. Oldies won’t enjoy it. They sell some K-Pop merchandise, clothes, and accessories. I’m a minimalist so I only buy stuff that I need. Therefore, I didn’t buy anything.

The place and the food are Instagrammable. Fashion bloggers go there to take their OOTD. And oh! I found a rainbow cake in one of the cafes there. It’s worth 8,500 won per slice. Moreover, common ground has different events and exhibitions per month.

As a whole, I would say that it’s not worth a visit if you have limited time. I personally would rather have my pictures taken inside the cultural places around Seoul. For me, the walls of the palaces and hanok houses are better than the walls of the blue shipping containers.

  1. I like the concept of Common ground to use shipping containers. I agree very instagrammable po to. Sa palagay ko po ma enjoy ko to dahil sa mga kpop merch. Lalo na ngayon naging filming location na ni big boss, add to bucket list na talaga.
