Multiple-Entry Visa to Korea Without Submitting Financial Documents

The embassy of Republic of Korea has a visa promo for the following card holders:

  • BDO Gold*
  • BDO Elite**
  • BPI Gold Mastercard*
  • BPI SkyMiles Platinum Mastercard**
  • BPI Amore Visa Platinum**
  • BPI Gold Express Teller Debit Card**

*multiple entry visa to Korea valid for 3 years
**multiple entry visa to Korea valid for 3-5 years

The card holders who have any of these cards are no longer required to submit a bank certificate and income tax return (ITR). They only need to submit their credit card statements upon visa  application. However, employment certificate or business permit is still required.

Aside from BPI and BDO card holders, those who have traveled as tourist to the OECD member countries within 5 years and those who have traveled as tourist to Korea at least once within 5 years are also exempted from submitting an ITR.

  4. Hello Ms Karla, I have been to 10 countries for the last 5 yrs and Japan and lately Canada are one of them. Is there any possibility that I can be granted a multiple entry if I will apply for a tourist visa? I have never been in South Korea before.

  5. Is it likely to get denied even if a bpi/bdo gold credit cardholder is unemployed? Is COE still required? do I need to submit employment documents still?

  8. Hi Karla,
I learning a lot from your blog. Thanks a lot!

Me and my 3 sisters are planning a trip to Korea this Sept.
Mas malaki ba ang chance maapprove if may BPI/BDO credit card?
Kelangan pa ba magsubmit ng Bank Statement if may credit card?

And lastly, students pa kasi yung 2 sisters ko so parents ko ang magssponsor sa kanila. Magkano ba dapat laman ng bank account ng parents ko para maapprove? Is 150k enough for the 2 of them? Pwede rin ba yung BPI Gold Express Teller Debit Card ng mama namin ang isubmit?

Hoping for your reply. Thanks in advance

  9. Hi Ms Karla! How about when travelling with the family, 1 is already employed while 2 still studying. How do you go about the requirements since I have read that there’s no need for the children to apply personally as long as applying with parents.

    1. Just attach the children’s application form to the parent’s documents. They still have to provide their certificate of enrollment and other requirements but they will be using the parent’s financial documents.

  10. Hi Karla!

Regarding doon sa letter para sa multiple entry, letter lang po ba talaga ang kailangan? May kilala ka po bang na-approve na? I’m thinking of doing the same as I’ll be visiting Korea often for my bucket list and to experience all the seasons. Haha. Thank you in advance 🙂

    1. Wala naman pong magiging problema. Actually kahit wala po kayong BPI or BDO card, pwede kayo mag apply for multiple visa. Just attach a letter in your application form that you want to visit Korea more often and you want to apply for a multiple entry visa. 🙂

      1. Ok po. Thank you Ms. Karla. Kailangan po pala ng request letter for multiple visa since meron po ako ng bdo at bpi ok lang po ba kahit wala ng naka attached na letter. Thanks po.

  12. Hi Karla, I have been reading your blog and I find it very useful. Keep it up! Anyways, I checked with Korean Embassy site and the BDO visa promo is not yet up, BPI is there though. This article was posted January12, is it the updated info based on korean embassy? Thanks 🙂

  15. Hi. Question, if ever I will be granted a single entry Korean visa and unfortunately I was not able to use it before it expires, will it affect if I re-apply for another Korean Visa? And do I need additional requirement for that?

  16. Wow unnie, thank you! This is soooo helpful especially to those who are homebased employees like me 😀
