Nanu Guesthouse KPOP

Nanu Guesthouse KPOP is the place to go if you’re a KPop fan. It’s in Hongdae and you will really have a lot of fun!

Corridor walls filled with big portraits of Hallyu stars, shelves with KPop photobooks, KPop themed bedrooms, Nanu Guesthouse KPop is definitely a K-Pop fans’ haven.

I was supposed to be there by 8 pm but I got a bit lost because I didn’t see any sign. It’s a new guesthouse so the lack of a signboard is understandable. The Google Map was right but I was hesitant to go inside because it looks like a private house.

Anyway, here’s what it looks like from the outside:

Fortunately, I was able to contact them through their Facebook page. They sent me a map, and I was welcomed as soon as I got there.

Honestly speaking, I’m not a fan of KPop but most of my readers/followers are. I went there so that I may be able to tell them what it looks like. I must say that I didn’t disappoint them. It was fun doing Facebook Live to tour them around.

My favorite thing about this guesthouse is the presence of interior plants in every room. It made me feel relaxed.

Nanu Guesthouse has five branches:

  • Victorian (the vintage style),
  • Pink (hello kitty themed rooms),
  • Blue (different themed rooms that suits every style),
  • Black (black and white monochromatic style)and
  • the KPOP guesthouse (the latest and the biggest)

I went to the latest branch of Nanu Guesthouse. Their rooms are named after the famous Korean groups. In fact, my room is called SNSD room. It means Sho Nyo Shi Dae (Girl’s Generation). My room is indeed filled with pictures of the girl group.

I don’t have a private bathroom but it didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. There’s a corner for hair drying/make-up. There are two cubicles in the toilet. The sink is clean. There’s a table and chairs across the two shower rooms.

KPop fans would definitely enjoy browsing the photobooks displayed in the communal area.

They have free breakfast but you have to prepare it yourself. Inside the refrigerator, you’ll find loaves of bread, a large container of jam, and some juice. If you want to eat other food, you can buy it in the convenience store and cook it in the kitchen.

As you can see, you may use the water heater, toaster, and microwave in their communal area.

I enjoy seeing plants all over the Nanu Guesthouse KPOP.

I don’t know how many staff they have in a day. There are times when the reception area is vacant. I guess they are multitasking. Anyway, the staff can easily be contacted using Kakaotalk. They are accommodating, and they respond to the questions well. I met two of them but just for a brief time. The staff are foreigners, they speak English and Korean well.

The corridors of Nanu Guesthouse KPOP are filled with pictures of KPOP idols.

Take Note!

  • Don’t smoke! If you smoke, they’ll terminate your contract without any refund.
  • If you’re sensitive with the footsteps, choose the rooms in the 2nd floor.
  • Don’t choose the rooms next to the main entrance so you won’t hear the sound of the door lock everytime it opens.
  • If I go back there, I would definitely choose the Infinite room.

  1. My bestfriend will be having her vacay there in Korea this whole month of March and I just recommended her to check your blog as well. So cool you’ve got to share this whole stuff about Korea. Keep up the good work! Keep writing 🙂

  2. Korea never ceases to astound me with its hotel themes, although this one is far more logical than some I’ve seen in the past. For K-Pop fans this would be heavenly and quite the experience! This looks like the perfect stop for Hallyu fans in the perfect neighborhood.

  3. Not really a Kpop fan at all tbh but glad to know you enjoyed your stay! You did an excellent job of distilling everything there is to know about this hostel though!

  4. This place is in Hongdae? Definitely beats the one we stayed at last Friday night. I like the Kpop theme, even though I’m not a Kpop fan. I can see a lot of Korean tourists enjoying that aspect of it. They should also have alarm clocks with prerecorded music of that band/singer.

  5. Super cute hostel! So nice to have a recommendation for a cute Korean experience in a pretty cool area too! I love that its clean and looks welcoming form the outside , too! Thanks for the detailed info on rooms and pricing!

  6. I am going to have to tell friends to stay here if they go to Korea! I think it would be perfect to stay in Hongdae while also staying in a Kpop hostel. Add in a jimjilbang and that’s a great Korean experience! Thanks for the share!

  7. This is such an amazing find for any k-pop lover. I’m sure a lot of my old middle school students would love to stay here! Looks really clean and in a great location, too!

  8. DAEBAK! ???? I hope I can also visit SoKor someday! ???? Actually, my uncle is also a teacher there and I envy him so much! ????

  9. kpop all over, indeed! and the location is perfect for tourists. that street in hongdae with so many people is always alive especially on friday and saturday nights (but, of course!)… and different performances and showdowns.

the guesthouse must have been a private house before? it looks nice from outside.
