National Museum of Korea

After visiting War Memorial of Korea, I’ve decided to visit the largest museum in Korea. Yup! National Museum of Korea is the sixth largest museum in the world. The museum contains about 310,000 pieces of artifacts, with 15,000 pieces on exhibition at one time.

I went there during the Chuseok that’s why I was able to catch some traditional performances in front of the Main Exhibition Hall.

I really want to share the pictures inside the museum but unfortunately, I accidentally delete the folder on my phone. As you know, I only post pictures I took so I’ll do my best to post some recovered photos. If ever I grab any photo, I make sure I put credits in the caption.

  • Second Floor – Korean Paintings, Buddhist Art, Calligraphy
  • Third Floor – Buddhist Sculptures, Metal Arts, Ceramics

Here’s my photo near the mirror pond across the museum. The building faces south, with a lake in front (water) and mountains behind. This is in accordance with traditional Korean architecture rules.

I really feel bad that my pictures were deleted. Good thing is that I recovered the pictures uploaded in this post. I’ll update if ever I get the chance to go back there.
