Philippines (Week 3)

This is how I spent my vacation in the Philippines. I went to different places and tried to reconnect with my friends.

August 15, 2016 (Day 11)

Today, I went to Westhill International School. I visited my former co-workers and students. I was welcomed with warm hugs.

A lot of physical improvements can be observed in the school. There are new people around yet the admin hasn’t changed. I was sent out after one of the admins saw me. LOL. I was able to visit grades 7 and 5. Too bad, I wasn’t able to visit grade 6. HUHUHU. They immediately sent me some messages telling me that they waited for me. It breaks my heart.

August 16, 2016 (Day 12)

I went to the University of the Philippines Los Banos. First, I visited my college housemates, and landlady. Then, I roamed around the university. I ate proven (popular street food in UPLB).  I also attended the orientation of my beloved organization.

August 17, 2016 (Day 13)

I spent the day cleaning my room and organizing my closet. Today is my sister’s first day of exams. I picked her up from school then we studied at home.

August 18, 2016 (Day 14)

I really don’t feel like going out because of the very hot weather. After taking my sister from school, we decided to go to the mall and have some snacks. These large fries only cost $2 but it made her day. LOL.

August 19, 2016 (Day 15)

Her exam is over! I took her to the mall to buy a new pair of shoes! I’ll definitely miss my bonding with my sister when I go back to Korea.

I had Pork Sisig today. I was really craving it. It is composed of chopped pig’s face and ears with some chicken liver. It’s one of the Filipino food tourists must try.

August 20, 2016 (Day 16)

I went to Divisoria! It’s a place filled with the cheap stuff. I went there to buy some goods so I have something to give to my students. I thought it would be different because I saw the news that it’s safer and cleaner there. Oh well, I guess it didn’t last long.

At night, I went to Tagaytay to meet my high school friends. I organized a mini-reunion so we could catch up.

We had bulalo, pancit bihon, and daing na bangus. Good friends, good food, good time.

August 21, 2016 (Day 17)

My family attended the second anniversary of Lighthouse Gospel Fellowship. I really felt that we were destined to be there at that time. I feel blessed that God used me to finance their mission work. It really feels good to help. <3
